How to Choose the Right Thermal Printer
Four questions will usually give you the answer.
2-inch (58 mm) or 3-inch (80 mm)?
A 58mm printer prints compact bills and is good for small shops and mobile billing. An 80mm printer prints wider bills with more details, which suits supermarkets, restaurants and GST invoices with many items. When in doubt, 80mm is the safer choice.
USB, Bluetooth or LAN connection?
USB is the simplest for a single computer at the counter. Bluetooth works with phones and tablets. LAN lets several devices share one printer, which is common in restaurants where the kitchen and billing counter both need printouts.
Do you need an auto cutter?
